How do I block users from access particular web sites?

If you have Surf Easy Standalone Edition then go to the System Administration screen and enter your restrictions on the Content Blocking tab. For all other editions of Surf Easy you will have to block sites using the Internet Options in Control Panel.

Email

Runtime error 40006 in OSSMTP

This error is caused by your ISP or mail server not allowing relaying. You should contact your ISP or email host and ask them to enable relaying.

Networking

User terminals will not communicate with the server terminal.

Make sure you have set the correct terminal name in the Server Settings tab in the System Administration screen. It is advisable to use IP addresses instead of PC names for faster response times. Disable all firewall software to ensure that they are not causing the problem.

What firewalls settings do I need to change?

What workgroup and computer names should I use?

The most critical points here are that all computers are on the same workgroup, and each computer has a unique computer name and IP address.

Printing

Not all of the pages get printed; printing terminates early; pages are missing

Users may report that pages are missing from their print out. Usually this is simply caused by the user not having enough credit to print the entire document, so only a proportion of the document is printed.
The second most common cause is a printer jam or the printer running out of paper.

Software

Do I need an actual server machine to run your cashier/server software, or will it run on a standard PC?

All of our software products will run on any standard PC that meets the minimum system requirements. A true server machine is only required in larger internet cafes running more than 20 to 30 terminals.
