Mail Server  -  IANA-BLK ()
You have probably come to this page because you can receive email but you cannot send email.

Many email servers will now only let you send an email if you are connected to the internet using one of their connections.  So for example, Telstra Bigpond will let you send an email from a Bigpond email address ONLY if you are connected to a Tesltra Bigpond internet connection.

So it is a very common problem for users to be unable to send an email from a hotel or other public internet system using their home or work email account.

This is because you are on a different internet connection at this location than the internet connection you normally use at home or work, and so your email company is not allowing the email to be sent using this different connection.

But luckily there is an easy way around this!

In order to fix the issues, you will need to change the outgoing mail server on your email program to use the email server for the internet connection being used at this location (which is provided below).

Or alternatively use your mail provider's Webmail feature; this is usually located on their home page (for example Bigpond has a button on the very top of their page at www.bigpond.com.au).

Instructions:

To change the outgoing mail server in Microsoft Outlook please follow the steps below.

If your email client is different to Microsoft Outlook, you should search for a specific instruction on changing the outgoing email server on that client and use the server information provided below.

NOTE: Please remember to write down or save the current setting and revert back to that when you are at your normal internet connection.
