Our Surf Easy internet cafe software includes automatic printing billing per page as a free standard feature.  This means that you can connect a printer to your internet kiosk or internet cafe and charge users for every page they print.  No need for staff to be there to count the pages - the software will automatically count the number of pages and the number of copies and automatically deduct the charge from the users remaining time.

How does it work?

You setup and install your printer just like normal.  You then configure the settings in Surf Easy with your preferred price per page.  That's it.

Any user will be able to print any document they like.  The user just hits the print button as per normal, and the software will monitor the print job.  Surf Easy then stops the print job and keeps it on pause, and displays a message on the screen showing the total cost of the print job.  The Surf Easy software automatically calculates the number of pages and the number of copies being printed, and shows the total charge to the user.  If the user does not have enough credit remaining then the software will not allow them to print until they insert more credit.  When the user has enough credit remaining on their session then they simply hit the accept button, and the charges are automatically deducted.  The software will then release the print job, and the user can then collect it from the printer.

What printers can I use?

The print billing in Surf Easy works with almost all printers.  If you want to have multiple terminals all print to one printer, then the printer must be a true network printer in order for the print billing to function correctly.  Sharing a printer through Windows Printer Sharing is not compatible with print billing.
